REGISTRATION - EARLY BIRD CAMP - TRYOUTS / TEAM SELECTIONS

Registration - Co-Chairs - Brad Loch / Kim Erickson.  Brad will be training Kim this season.

Note: No Fees increases again this season.

Fall Development Camp ($50): Start Date - Tues - Sept 5th. (All Levels - (U8 Boys/Girls to Bantams)

Early Bird Camp ($ 100): Start Date - Sun - Sept 24th. (U8 Boys/Girls that think they are ready for Squirt/U10, Peewee/U12 & Bantams)

Robby Glantz Clinc (Part of Early Bird Camp) - Oct 3, 4, 5.

Tryouts / Teams Selections - Oct 7, 8, 10.

Note - Goalies Free for Both Camps 

New:

U8 Boys will be included with our U8 Girls Hybrid (Park and Rec and ALHA) this year which was a success with our U8 Girls last season. Includes two tournaments (home & away), a handful scrimmages with other Associations (Cross Ice Format) and extra ice sessions during the week along with weekend Park & Rec Schedule.  No Fundraising Requirements but will have minimum volunteer requirements (Concession Stand - 6 Shifts).

2nd Raffle Book Buyout ($ 250) - No longer an option.  We ended up paying over $ 7000 to fill the Concession Shifts last season.  Option to pay Monica Nelson (Concession Stand Manager) or Cheryl Carlson (Concession Stand Scheduler) -$ 30 / Shift or find another person (16 or older) and negotiate a rate.  

Early Bird Camp w/ Robby Glantz & Tryout / Team Selection Schedules

Lead by various Coaches.

Per Policy: Players can choose not to participate in the Camps and show up for Tryouts (Free) or a player can choose not to participate in Tryouts. Player will then be placed on the lowest level.

Travel Player Hockey Registration

Need to be logged into your Sports Engine Account to Register. Same Username and Password from previous years for returning members. New Users need to create Username / Password.

USA Hockey Registration ( https://membership.usahockey.com/ ) for all players (Travelers & Early Bird Camp & Fall Camp Participants) is required before Registration above.

Registration includes both Camps, Traveling Fee & Fundraising Fees (Bundled). Payment Options (Pay in Full or a Payment Plan w/ CC or Checking Account.  Parents responsible for CC / Checking Account Processing Fees.

Payment Plan: Camps 100 % Due @ Check-Out. Travel & Fundraising Fees divided into 6 Monthly Payments. 

Mite / In-House Only (Park & Rec) - Visit Albert Lea Park & Rec Website for Registration Info.  Starts 1st week of November.

1st Year Travel Players Only - Need Copy of Birth Certificate (Not Hospital Record Form) to be placed on a Traveling Roster. Registration above allows you to upload a copy.  

Early Bird Camp (Includes Robby Glantz Skating Clinic):  Start Date - Sun. Sept 24th, w/ Robby Glantz Clinc (Oct 3-5). Tryout / Team Selection Dates - Oct 7th, 8th, & 10th. Early Bird Camp Schedules (To be posted) includes Tryouts / Team Selection for Bantams, Peewee, Squirts & Girls. Note: Players have the option to not sign up for Early Bird Camp and just participate in the Tryout / Team Selections (Free) Dates or elect not to do either (player will be placed on the lowest level team per policy).

U8 Boys / Girls EARLY BIRD CAMP ONLY REGISTRATION.

True aged U8 Boys / Girls Players (Born on 06/01/14 and after, typically a 3rd Grader and younger) that the Parent/Guardian thinks is ready to move up to the Squirt / U10 Levels are welcome to register for the Early Bird Camp Only ($ 100) at this time. Players will take part in the Early Bird Sessions and Tryouts/Team Selections and the Selection Committee will determine if the player is ready to travel up or participate in the Mite / U8 Hybrid Level w/ Park and Rec.  Note: U8 Players (06/01/14 and younger that traveled last season are grandfathered up to Squirt / U10 levels this season.

USA Hockey Registration is a requirement for all Early Bird Camp participants.

U8 Boys / Girls Players that end up on a Squirt / U10 Team will be required to re-registered for the full season after Tryouts/Team Selections.

Payment Plan Schedule

Camp Fees Due in Full @ Registration. Travel Fees and Fundraising will be divided in 6 equal payments - processed on the 15th of each month.

Examples:

Register on Aug 16th (Prior to Development Camp):  Payment Schedule - Sept 15, Oct 15, Nov 15, Dec 15, Jan 15 & Feb 15.

Register on Sept 14th (Prior to Early Bird Camp) - Payment Schedule - Sept 15, Oct 15, Nov 15, Dec 15, Jan 15 & Feb 15.

Register on Sept 16th (Prior Early Bird Camp) - Payment Schedule - Oct 15, Nov 15, Dec 15, Jan 15, Feb 15 & March 15.

Plan / Budget Accordingly.

Traveling Hockey Fees - 2023 / 2024

Note: Parents will not have to pay any Gate Fees for Away Tournaments again this season.

Based on total Registration #'s (Final #'s will determined # of teams and their levels... A, B &etc.)

Team Socks (Blue/Red Combo) - Used for both Home and Away Games - 1 Set ($25) will be added to the Travel Fee. Socks will be distributed when the players get their Jerseys.  Additional Sets, if needed, can be purchased with Equipment (Sy or Josh).

$ 385 - Bantam (06/01/08 to 05/31/10) - typically 8th and 9th Graders

$ 335 - U12 / U13 Girls (06/01/09 to 05/31/12) - typically 6th, 7th and 8th Graders.

$ 335 - Peewee (06/01/10 to 05/31/12) - typically 6th and 7th Graders 

$ 285 - Squirt & U10 Girls (06/01/12 to 05/31/14) - typically 4th and 5th Graders

$ 100 - U8 Boys / Girls  (06/01/14 and younger) - typically 2nd and 3rd Graders (Hybrid w/ Mite Park & Rec). Weekends w/ Park & Rec and one night a week along with two tournaments (Home & Away) and a handful of scrimmages vs other Associations. One Player - 12 Shifts

Multi Players +2 - 16 Shifts

Coach w/ Multi Players + 2 - 8 Shifts

U8 Boys / Girls Only - 6 Shifts

U8 Boys / Girls Only Multi Players +2 - 10 Shifts

Examples: One U8 & Peewee - 16 Shifts, Coach w/ One Player + U8 Boys / Girls - 8 Shifts

NEED EQUIPMENT ?

Equipment Rental / Renewal:  - Fill out form in Equipment Room and pay with cash or check). Still need to reserve block of time on-line like last year to rent or renew your player's equipment for the 2023 / 2024 Hockey Season (Equipment Room @ the City Arena). See Volunteer / Dib Tab (Dibs / Volunteer (pucksystems2.com). 

Equipment Rental / Renewal - $ 75 / Player

Equipment Available: Skates, Helmet, Gloves, Shin Guards, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads & Breezers.  NOTE: Hockey Stick, Mouth Guard and Socks not available.

RENTAL Dates - Sept 2023 to March 2024.  Equipment return dates will be announced at the end of the Season.  Option to Renew Equipment in the Spring ($ 75) for summer hockey needs (Rental Dates - Spring 2024 to Spring of 2025 w/ the option to exchange equipment for larger sizes in the Fall of 2024 at no expense. Failure to return equipment or renew equipment will result of an invoice to be sent to your email address and a HOLD will be put on your account for future Registrations with the Albert Lea Hockey Association.  

Note: Already Renewed Equipment Last Spring and need to exchange for larger sizes? Reserve an equipment slot accordingly at no cost to exchange.

Equipment Rental / Renewal Time Slots are now posted on Dibs to reserve a time. Siblings can be in the same time slot.  

Tues - Aug 22nd - 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Wed - Aug 23rd - 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

1st day of Park and Rec Mites - Sat. Nov 4th.  Additional Time Slots will be posted prior (Stay tuned).
