Annual Registration. Cost: $ 47 ( Paid by ALHA ). Registration is done by the Association's Registrar and submitted to USA Hockey. A copy of the registration is forwarded to the Coach via email ( Save for future registrations. Coaches unique USA # will be needed at times below when prompted ).
Fee ( $ 30 ) - Forward Receipt ( Registration Confirmation Email ) to Treasurer for reimbursement - ( Every other year requirement ). Need to be USA Hockey Registered ( See Step # 1 above ). Need your own USA # to complete On-Line Background / Screening. Must be completed before any contact with players (On or Off Ice) along with being added to a Roster and approved by MN Hockey. Note: You will be prompted to download one form of identification ( Driver License, Passport, etc. )
Free - See Link for SafeSport Registration / On-Line Training ( required every year). Must be completed before any contact with players (On or Off Ice) along with being added to a Roster and approved by MN Hockey. New: USA Hockey's My Hockey HQ Portal (Create an Account - Follow Prompts) before course access.

Age Specific to the level you are coaching: Under 10 / Squirt, Under 12 / Peewee, Under 15 / Bantam or Under 16 / Junior Gold / Midget. Needs to be completed prior to the Roster being approved by the MN Hockey.
Fee ( $ 60 ). Forward Receipt ( Registration Confirmation Email ) to Treasurer for reimbursement. Failure to complete by 12/31 will result in a "Red Line" off the Official Team Roster and will not be allowed to coach games until complete.
All requirements above once completed are automatically uploaded from USA Hockey and MN Hockey into the USA Hockey Portal.
All Player and Coaches USA Hockey Registrations are processed and Rosters are generated from the Portal and forwarded to the Head Coach and Team Manager for the Team Book. Note- Team Book ( Approved / Stamped Roster, Scorebook Stickers and Coaches Cards ) should be available at each game. Tournaments will require this information at Check-In of first game.
Coaches Pay Model ( Note: All Requirements above needs to be completed prior to any compensation. Any compensation $ 600 and over in the calendar year will result in a 1099 from ALHA - Will need SS # to be filed ).
Head: ( 1st Half Pay - Fall, 2nd Half Pay - Jan )
Squirt / U10 - $ 1000.00
Peewee / U12 - $ 1500.00
Bantam / U15 - $ 2000.00
* Non-Parent HC's - Hotel Reimbursement for Away Tournaments ( Submit to Treasurer)
Head Coach Incentive / Retention Pay:
$ 100 / Consecutive Year of "A" Level Head Coaching Experience ( up to ten years ).
$ 50 / Consecutive Year of "B" / "C" Level Coaching Experience ( up to ten years ).
Assistant Coaches: ( Paid in the Fall )
$ 500 - Parent
$ 1000 - Non-Parent along with Hotel Reimbursement for Away Tournaments ( Submit to Treasurer )
Non-Parent - Districts / Regions / State Reimbursement Policy
Mileage (Industry Rate) & Hotel Expense - Expense Report (Mileage) and Hotel Receipt required (Submit to Treasurer).

League Scheduling Meetings ( Coaches schedule games w/ other District 9 Teams )
Bantam / Peewee / U12 - Oct in Rochester
Squirt / U10 - Nov in Rochester
Away Tournaments ( All Teams will have a Home Tournament )
Bantam, Peewee, U12 & U15 - Up to 3.
Squirt & U10 - Up to 2.
District 9 Tournaments - Bantam, Peewee, U12 & U15 ( Based on qualifying through Dist. 9 League Play Results - goal to move onto Regions and then State Tournament )

3. Recruitment of a Team Manager and Team Parents ( Optional ) and Locker Room Monitors

5. Home Tournament ( Game shifts need to be covered - Team Manager will be get a Work Schedule from our Tournament Director to get filled by the parents - typically 5 to 6 shifts ).
6. Gate Fees for Away Tournaments ( If applicable )
